Airnimal bikes can be folded for transportation, but they ride beautifully with a stiff frame, 24 inch wheels, and conventional riding position. You can ride as fast and as far as you can on an equivalent non-folding bike. They fit in the trunk of a car or in an optional hard-sided suitcase that qualifies as checked baggage with most airlines.
